PILLAR ONE: ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION
The Soludo-Ibezim mandate aims to transform Anambra from a dominantly informal commercial State to a formal, productive and competitive economy.
This will be achieved through:
A. INDUSTRIALIZATION – to develop Industrial Parks and attract 2000 small, medium and large industries to Anambra State and through this accelerate the creation of 130,000 private sector jobs per annum for youths, etc
B. AGRICULTURE AND AGRO PROCESSING
-support cluster farming across the three senatorial zones
-sustain collaboration with development partners
-invest in research to invent improved varieties of crops and livestock
- support agro-processing and encourage exports etc
C. TRADE AND COMMERCE
-to create new digitized business models and remodel markets
-to partner with FG to construct and rehabilitate critical federal highways to ease movement of goods and services etc
D. CREATIVE ECONOMY, ENTERTAINMENT AND LEISURE
- build a vibrant tech-driven and creative economy which will train and support up to 10,000 youths annually and establish incubation hubs with a N5bn venture capital fund
- build a creative industry and reactivate the creative economy council to encourage development in Fashion, film production, music, crafts and other arts
- partner with private sector to develop entertainment centres and develop programs that will train at least 3,000 youths in the creative industry value chain etc
E. SOLID MINERALS
The Soludo-Ibezim mandate will deploy centralized e-GIS portal with supporting ICT infrastructure and partner with FG to regulate the sector in the State.
F. OIL AND GAS
With an estimated 1 billion barrels of crude oil in the Anambra basin and 30 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, the Soludo-Ibezim mandate will
- continue to work with FG agencies and private investors to develop the oil and gas resources of the State.
- to harness the business and employment opportunities under the Petroleum Industry Act
The Transformation will be funded through INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIPS.
